GFR "archive"

GFR was a short-lived dedicated MGA server that rose and fell in 2024. It was created by MGA veterans who were deemed too good and too toxic by the administrators of Jumpacademy to be allowed in the official server. The server featured a brand new map, a ranking system and arenas for duels.

While the server itself is long gone, the server plugins, some versions of the maps and footage were saved from the entropy.

Plugins

The server logic relied on homemade sourcemod plugins, which have been created and were graciously provided by SpookyMonster. They rely on extentions, namely morecolors, tf2items and tf2attributes which are not provided here.

Maps

Suijin

The first map hosted by the server. Simply a resking of the freestyle map Suijin (not the koth_suijin you're thinking of), which is basically a standalone version of the official MGA arena.

Codename Green goblin

An original map made by SpookyMonster for the server. Features an increased arena size, a new layout, and for the latest version a jump pad in the middle of the arena.

Those maps are unfortunately not functional due to the fact that all the logic was taken care of through sourcemod. One would need to set a sourcemod server up and hunt down the missing dependencies needed by the plugins to get them to work.

Footage

The highlights of the summer 2024 tournament is available here as a ZIP file (to force you to download it to save my precious bandwidth), although because of copyright concerns the original music has been replaced by the overture of Beethoven's Egmont, Op. 84. Contact me for the original version.

Another tournament happened after that one, however the VOD has been lost. If anyone has a copy of it, PLEASE reach out to me.
